This is a food for thought that the UkwuBenda agrees with and has been applying over time which has never failed. Read below and grab something.
“Some entertainers don’t have any fanbase, talk less of influencing anybody to buy your ticket, they won’t even help you get a discount somewhere. Listen up; avoid people who lack both performance currency and value currency. I just hope you know what i mean by PC and VC as somebody working in the creative industry and host events. You simply don’t need everyone except they can deliver with good performance and can add value, the best is to work with those that have both.
Showbusiness is business and not a friendship picnic. Focus on the essentials, overcome the fear of I will lose friends and my friend will be angry with me. If that’s the reason why he is your friend, then you should be worried. In this industry, friendship should not take the place of the essentials. They are even those who have performance currency and value currency, but somehow you don’t have to impress them with your event. Let me break it; focus on who can deliver on stage and has a brand power to influence tickets sale for you, can engage his friends to patronage you or lend support in some way. Thank you
